NGC 3324 & The Gem Cluster - In Carina

This new 6 frame mosaic has taken me 3 months to image.  I lost a whole lunar dark cycle through poor weather and when I finally got the colour data, it was spoiled because I allowed my scope to wonder into my light polluted zone.  So I tossed the whole lot away and redid it.  First frame was taken on 30 Dec 2007 and the last on 11 Mar 2008. 

Exposure time (Per Frame) - LRGB (210:75:75:75) for a total exposure time of 43.5 hours.  Number of frames = 174 (not counting a complete set of colour which I threw away!)

Please take a look at the full size version on the right..the detail is quite lovely and also compare to the widefield shots below taken last year and jointly produced between myself and Robert Gendler
